Harbour Light
Six paintings made from the same window over two winters, watching the harbour empty and fill with the tide.

N° 01 — About the series
Every morning for two winters I painted the harbour from the net loft window before the light went flat. The rule was simple: one panel, one hour, and no going back to it the next day.
Out of nearly ninety small studies, six became large paintings. They are not views of St Ives so much as records of a particular light: the pale pewter of a January morning, the brief pink of a low tide in March, the moment the boats lift off the sand.
The series was first shown at Gull Street Gallery in autumn 2026, hung in the order the paintings were made.
